Learn to make vegetarian sushi at home! Perfect for both beginners and seasoned cooks.

We'll cover the ins-and-outs of making seasoned sushi rice and and how to prepare a variety of fresh vegetarian ingredients. Once we have the basics down, you'll get hands-on practice learning a variety of sushi-making techniques, including:
Hosomaki (thin sushi rolls)
Futomaki (thick sushi rolls)
Inside-out rolls
Temaki (hand rolls)

About the Instructor:

Diana Kuan is a New York-based multi-creative working in food, photography, and illustration. She leads workshops teaching others to expand their creativity in the kitchen, behind the camera, and with a paintbrush, and lives by the philosophy that the arts are interconnected,

Her first cookbook The Chinese Takeout Cookbook (Ballantine Books, 2012) made the Wall Street Journal best seller list. Her second cookbook, Red Hot Kitchen (Avery, 2019), dives into the world of DIY Asian chili sauces and how to cook with them. Red Hot Kitchen has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Salon, and other publications. Diana has 12+ years of experience leading group classes, and a passion for public speaking and spreading the joy of the culinary and visual arts.

Terms & Conditions: For all classes and catered events, full payment is required in advance to book the date(s). Rescheduling: You may reschedule your event 1 time in case of an emergency; rescheduling must be done at least 1 week before the scheduled class. Cancellations: If you must cancel your event or class at least 2 full weeks in advance, your payment will be refunded in full minus a $100 non-refundable deposit. If you must cancel your event at least 1 week in advance, 50% of your payment will be refunded. Unfortunately we cannot refund for cancellations less than 1 week in advance.
